Overview

Supeo is the Senior Associate at Plass Law having joined the firm in 2016. He works with the firm's local and international clientele to secure their rights and interests through his expertise and experience in Dispute Resolution, Financial Services and Real Property Law. Furthermore, he has a keen interest on how public institutions interact with private individuals and companies and in an effort to better understand this relationship, he has over the years gained great experience in Constitutional and Public Law. In addition to the above and in an effort to impact social change around him, Supeo has over the years volunteered for several Non-Governmental Organisations in the fields of: Human Rights for persons living HIV/Aids, Equality for Intersex persons, Criminal Justice for wrongly convicted persons, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Cancer awareness.

Experience
Dispute Resolution & Public Law

Successfully litigated a Constitutional Petition on the question of public participation as regards a County Government Budget worth over KES. 6 Billion.

Successfully litigated 9 Judicial review cases against a County Government stemming from a public interest policy instituted by the County Government against owners of local entertainment venues.

Successfully negotiated an out-of-court settlement for a leading private university which had been sued by a former member of its senior management for his terminal dues worth over KES. 27 Million.

Successfully defended several leading financial institutions in cases seeking injunction orders against the banks' rights to exercise their statutory power of sale.

Bank Securities and Finance

Extensive experience in advising and preparing security documents for five (5) leading financial institutions in Kenya and which security documents include; charges, guarantees and debentures with a combined worth of over KES. 1 Billion.

Real Property Law

Successfully acted for an ambitious Real Estate Developer with a Controlled Golf Course Estate on the out-skirts of Thika Town. This has been achieved by drafting Agreements for sale between the Developer and its purchasers and thereafter preparing and registering subleases over the purchased properties. As of today, over 160 sub-leases have been duly registered.
